ptbr translation! and catch-up announcements #personal

Hello! I hope everyone has been doing well and growing and trying new things <3

It's been... long. So long that people have started commenting on my games about my disappearance. HOWEVER, this post will act as a general (giant) announcement about content, including personal items. ๐Ÿ‘€

actual updates for the atpg all that glitters probably game wow:

*** All That (Probably) Glitters has been translated to Portuguese Brazilian by Ony_Br!... like, a year or two ago. Thank you again though! I genuinely apologize for not getting this out sooner.

* Getting translated to ptbr meant that I had to change the font to be able to display text in ptbr. This was a struggle for me (until I went to hacking school for a year and learned how to code it in and boy was it so easy for me to do so ๐Ÿ˜ญ)

* Added the select language screen when starting a game and in the Options menu!

* "Striked" has been changed to the grammatically legal English word, "struck"! I am no longer traumatized.

* Updates are not on Android/Google Play yet since I'd have to make screens compatible, which takes lots 'o work.

now for #personalthings

Let's see let's see... I ran a few red lights and finally got my driver's license (don't be afraid), and then I graduated from university. So while I got my hacking major, I also minored in Criminal Justice to educate myself and BOY. ...

Now, I am working full-time.

(The winnings I got from Spooktober were used on items I needed for school and for this job. Again, very grateful. Truly, thank you for supporting my games.)

what does this mean for the games?

Absolutely nothing!!! Don't expect anything. I need to slurp creative juices.

On a more serious note... I've been asking myself, "Why am I not making anything? Why am I not doing anything creative or?" for a year. But I have been. I've been trying new things like crocheting, pin-making, Unreal Engine 5. It's all art. I'm still creating.

However, recovering doesn't mean I need to make anything though, and that fact is something that's hard for me to swallow. Telling yourself that it's okay to not create is also fine. In fact, this artist I've watched for a while made a video about burnout that explained a lot to me and helped me realize what I was doing to myself. Them and many others have given me the motivation to continue recovering too :D

Buuuut for those who are curious, these are the things I have been doing:

bonus game(s)?

As these games are not related to PUQFFAL-verse anything, they remain on a separate account!

Routine. is a game I made very recently in Ren'Py with seburoh for NaNoRenO 2024.

Click for the Routine. Mini Postmortem: I believe we did well making a game in only three daysa.k.a. ~18 hours? It was seb's first time using Ren'Py, and once he figured out how to escape into Python, he started to code a lot ๐Ÿ˜ฑ (it was really impressive tbh)

I slightly wish we had more time than three days since I wasn't able to proofread, polish, or edit. I was not able to add happy music to the ending or adjust the volume for the pillow-smack sound effect. The scope had to be tight. And publishing the game was so SO close to the deadline... The jam was literal seconds away from ending and Ren'Py wasn't working so I had to manually upload the game files x.x

But maybe it was for the best to not have much time at all, showing that, if you feel stuck, you can go be awesome now now now.

If you do happen to try it out, I wrote a letter at the bottom of the game's page about what the game means to me. I'm fortunate to not have to had experience the exact situation of the MC, but do relate to the frustration of not being able to break out of doing the same things over and over.

(Also I drew everything, except the stick figure and 4th wall at the beginning ๐Ÿ˜Š)

The Demon Lord Can Move! is an RPGmaker game I made in a weekend with a group of friends from college during the summer.

Click for the TDLCM! Mini Postmortem:As it was my first group game jam, I found it more challenging but a lot more rewarding (and as a bonus, fun)! You have to work with others, making sure everyone is on the same page,  agrees with the scope, and understands their role in the game's development process.

I messaged my group beforehand that "i will likely be directing things since i have that kind of experience. probably. I am also considering making the music." but none of that happened due to the time constraint (48 hours) and me being uwu quiet irl. Someone else in the group naturally took the role of leader and I'm pretty sure everyone appreciated it (I think? Well at least I did).

We used premade music and art from RPGMaker so we could focus on creating the gameplay and story. No one else in the group knew how to use RPGMaker or had ever developed a game before, so I believe this was the best route since it allowed the group (and myself) to (re)expand their noggins. Halfway through, we combined everyone's maps and tested them out. It was interesting how everyone had a slightly different sense of humor. So while we noticed it was not 100% cohesive, we did our best and added to our maps afterward!

You also have to make sure everyone is emotionally fine and gets along, otherwise... ๐Ÿ˜…. But overall, it was a great experience and I want to do it again someday!

(I made the intro, the overworld, and the cat farm ๐Ÿ˜Š)

kickstarter omg

Stop getting excited. BUT OMG LOOK I made my first โœจEnamel Pin and Sticker Kickstarterโœจ!!! It features my favorite Pokemon. I want to try many different mediums/styles, recently being enamel pins/stickers. You can even see a Pippy sticker I made if you scroll down far enough :P

insta grammer whammer

There's also been a tiny spike in inspiration from me. I now have an INSTAGRAM. Yes. I'm sometimes posting again, but it's just gonna be random stuff. Nothing game-related, just arts and Pokemons and random things I want to doodle.

I have no idea where life is gonna take me, whether it's back to games or far away from them, but I want to be there for every part of it.

That's all, thank you for reading :3

Congrats on graduating university :D That is a massive achievement that needs time and dedication, so honestly don't even worry about disappearing! Real life comes first after all~

Also congrats on getting your license! And getting a full-time job!

The burnout is real though. Adulting (cringe word but oh well) means less free time after all... But it's really good that you're still making bonus games and art in the meantime!

Take care of yourself <3 looking forward to your future endeavours.

I've gotta say that it was very random that I just so decided to look at nanoreno VNs, and scrolled far enough to see "Routine" and get interested in it. It was very good

Also, when I discovered The Legendary Side Account I was so ";-;" I can't believe I fricking guessed "Bikechocolate" instead, I was so close and yet, at the opposite distance

That burnout video seems right up my alley, thanks for the sauce!

I'm glad you scrolled down as far as you did lol, the fact that you commented and liked "Routine" was also so ";-;" to me XD. Seb even recognized you! And nah, I thought you guessed pretty close to the side account name XD.

Hope you like the video! It was an eye-opener for me.

Thank you for being awesome Ony ^^

Making Routine with you recently was super fun and I really appreciated your knowledge of Ren'Py and artistic flair!

I always look forward to your solo projects as well! Slurp whatever creative juices you desire, and whenever you have inspiration to make something again, be it a sequel or something new, I'll be excited to see what you create!

Thank you! It was really fun making Routine with you too :D

It was you who had the idea in the first place, which I will say I loved again, and had to use the scope-knife on me a lot XD. I really appreciate the strengths you bring to the table! And you learned super fast lol.
